Private cars account for the vast majority of vehicles undergoing “physical examinations”. Most of these car owners have just returned from the self-driving tour during the long vacation. It is very necessary to do a comprehensive maintenance for the car after returning.
In this regard, Li Gong, a senior maintenance worker in a car sales service center, suggested that the following ten items are generally tested to be able to cope with it.
1. Removal of scratches on the body
Due to the unfamiliarity of the owner with the road surface or the poor condition of some road surfaces during the self-driving tour, the vehicle may be damaged. There are obvious scratches and dents on the outside, especially on the front bumper. Therefore, there are many car owners who paint the exterior of the vehicle. However, according to the professionals of the auto repair company, the cracks in the paint layer caused by some impacts are not very large, so most people think that it does not affect the appearance of the vehicle and turn a blind eye to it. In fact, the metal under the paint has already begun to rust. When the car owner can observe it from the outside, the internal metal layer has been corroded very much. When it is processed again, I am afraid it will hurt my bones.
2. Chassis Healing Situation
Some cars scrape the chassis during self-driving tours, but they are often ignored during maintenance. According to professionals, if it is found that the chassis has abnormal noise, the steering wheel shakes, and there are oil stains in the parking position of the vehicle, it means that the chassis has been damaged. This is because after the road obstacle scratches the chassis, some parts of the chassis may be deformed, especially the upper and lower swing arms and the left and right direction pull rods are easily deformed. In addition, even some slight scratches will cause slight leakage from the oil pan or the gearbox oil pan, and these are problems that the car owner cannot detect in time. Therefore, it is best for car owners to do professional chassis anti-rust care or spray paint for chassis armor.
3. The brakes should be sensitive
If you drive for a long time, the brake system is prone to problems. At some auto repair shops, there are long queues of cars coming to have their brake systems checked. The first is to observe whether the surface of the brake disc is smooth. If there are obvious grooves, this is because when the vehicle is driving on the gravel road, some fine gravel is stuck between the brake disc and the fender, constantly rubbing the surface of the brake disc. As a result, if the situation is serious, it will obviously affect the braking performance. At this time, it is necessary to drive to the designated service station to check to see if it is necessary to replace the brake pads. If the brake fluid level is found to drop, immediately check the brake fluid for leaks. Before checking the brakes, carefully wipe the mud off the master cylinder so that dirt does not fall into the reservoir. For the cylinder without scale, the liquid level should be kept 6 mm from the top of the cylinder. If there is a scale, just keep the liquid level higher than the scale. Professionals remind car owners and friends to understand some maintenance common sense. If maintenance is done in some street shops, maintenance personnel should be reminded of maintenance items at any time.
